Inside the ZBCN Buyback Program

TL;DR
  • Zebec continues its recurring ZBCN buyback program funded by operating revenue, generated across Zebec's expanding ecosystem, including enterprise payroll, cards, stablecoin payments and financial infrastructure.
  • With ZBCN in its fully distributed phase, buybacks serve as a core component of the network's long-term tokenomics strategy.
  • The program continues under a framework shaped through community governance and on-chain DAO proposals.
A Long-Term Commitment to Sustainable Tokenomics

As Zebec's payments ecosystem continues to expand, so does its commitment to disciplined capital allocation and long-term tokenomics.

The ZBCN Buyback Program remains an ongoing initiative funded by operating revenue generated across the company's products and services. Recurring buybacks directly reflect the continued growth of the Zebec ecosystem, and continuing to align network activity with long-term ecosystem development.

Buybacks Backed by Real Product Activity

Unlike many token buyback programs funded primarily through treasury allocations, Zebec's buybacks are supported by revenue generated from real products and real customers.

Revenue generated across enterprise payroll, payments infrastructure, Zebec Cards and related financial services continues to fund recurring market purchases of ZBCN as part of the company's long-term treasury strategy.

As the ecosystem continues to expand throughout 2026, Zebec intends to maintain a regular cadence of buybacks funded by operating revenue.

Governance - Led Program

The current buyback program is the result of the continued evolution of Zebec's tokenomics through community governance.

The original buyback and burn initiative was introduced under the ZBC token in 2023 and included periodic token burns as part of the network's early tokenomics strategy.

In early 2024, the Zebec DAO approved the ZIP-4 Governance Proposal, evolving the network's tokenomics by pausing the token burn mechanism while continuing recurring buybacks. The proposal also enabled a greater share of treasury resources to support product development, strategic acquisitions, ecosystem expansion and long-term network growth.

This direction was subsequently reaffirmed through the community-approved Zebec Roadmap Proposal, establishing a balanced approach that supports both continued business growth and recurring buybacks.

Buyback Treasury Wallet

Tokens acquired through the ZBCN buyback program are held in the designated on-chain Buyback Treasury Wallet and with Uphold Institutional.

The buyback history, governance proposals and periodic program updates are published through Zebec's official channels and will continue to serve as the primary source of transparency for the community.

Looking Ahead

With the network now operating under its fully distributed token supply, recurring buybacks remain a core component of Zebec's long-term tokenomics strategy.

As Zebec continues expanding enterprise payroll, stablecoin payments, cards and financial infrastructure, the company remains committed to transparent treasury management, disciplined capital allocation and community-led governance.

In consultation with the community, the Zebec DAO expects to evaluate by the end of 2026 whether network growth, treasury performance and market conditions support a proposal to reintroduce a token burn mechanism alongside the existing buyback program.

The objective remains unchanged: to build a sustainable, product-driven token economy where treasury management, capital allocation and tokenomics continue to evolve transparently through community governance as the Zebec ecosystem grows.
